🔼 Perfect Match. The women’s tennis team released its 2024 fall schedule. The Spiders will begin play on Sept. 14 at the ITA Hall of Fame Classic. Richmond is hosting the River City Open on Oct. 4-6.
Head coach Jacob Dunbar— “We have some great tournaments here in the fall, including our home event. It's always such a positive feeling to be able to compete at home in a part of our season that we don't often get to.”

🔼 All About It. The A-10 named Clara Larripa to the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Conference team. Larripa transferred to Richmond after playing her freshman season with La Salle. She led the Explorers with 27 points on 12 goals and three assists. 🏑 Read more about Larripa.

3 days until kickoff, Spider fans!

Wearing jersey #3 this season is Quanye Veney. Veney is a redshirt sophomore wide receiver. He played 11 games last season for the Spiders. Veneys longest reception was 32 yards in last season’s game against Campbell. He scored two touchdowns and had a total of 185 yards in 2023.

Best of the Best. Richmond Athletics announced four Spider student-athletes as the 2024 University of Richmond Athletics Hall of Fame class. TJ Cline on men’s basketball, Rodney Elam on football, Meghan Ogilvie on women’s soccer and Abby Oliver on women’s basketball were the individuals selected. The 2010 men’s and women’s cross country teams, which both won Atlantic 10 titles, were honored as the Teams of Distinction. 🏆 Read more about the honorees.
