Spiders Morning Jolt 11/3: A-10 Regular Season Title Won!
The field hockey team won a share of the Atlantic 10 Conference Regular Season Championship title.

Good morning, Spiders. Big things happened this past weekend for the Spiders. The field hockey team won a title and coach Martu Loncarica recorded her 50th career victory.

🔼 Title Won! The field hockey team won a share of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference regular season title as well as the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship. Richmond beat VCU 2-1 on Friday in double overtime. Clara Larripa and Valen Luna Paratore scored goals. The team had five shots and three were on goal. Goalkeeper Amanda Cimillo had nine saves. 🏑 Read more about the victory.

🔼 That’s A Dub. The football team beat Fordham 17-14 at home on Saturday. Ja’Vion Griffin and Kyle Wickersham made it to the end zone. Jayden Alsheskie added a 36-yard field goal. The Spiders had 323 total yards and held Fordham to only 161. Carter Glassmyer led the team with 12 tackles and the defense recorded three sacks. 🏈 Here’s more about the win.

🔼 Speedy Times. The cross country team competed in the Atlantic 10 Championships. The women finished fourth and the men finished 10th. Hallie Muniz led the women in the 6k with a time of 21:19.0. She finished in sixth place and earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors. Henry Haase led the men with a 25th-place finish. 👟 See each athlete’s time.

Title Stats. The field hockey team finished the season 11-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

On TV. The men’s basketball team announced the games that will air on regional TV this season. Ten games will be on regional TV, including one women’s game. Games will be televised on Monumental Sports Network, MASN, or CBS 6 Richmond while also being streamed on ESPN Plus. Voice of Spiders Bob Black will provide play-by-play coverage of the team for the 43rd straight season. Former Spiders captain Scott Ungerer will be by Black’s side. 🏀 Here are the game airing on regional TV.
