Spiders Morning Jolt 3/25: Argabright Will Return Next Season
Men's basketball player Aiden Argabright will be at Richmond next season.

Good morning, Spiders. We need everyone to vote Maggie Doogan for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year! Doogan and Tierra Simon were also just named to the 2026 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators.

🔼 The Rook. Baseball player Evan Wilson was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. Wilson hit .538 with an on-base percentage of .647 and slugged .932 in four games last week. He went 7-for-13 at the plate with two doubles and a home run, two RBIs, three walks and didn’t strikeout.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The women’s golf team finished competing at the City of Oaks Collegiate. The Spiders placed fifth with a final score of 914 (+50). Maya Beasley led the team with an eighth-place individual finish. She had a score of 224 (+8). Richmond has now registered four top-five finishes their four events this spring.

Men’s basketball player Aiden Argabright announced he will return to Richmond for his sophomore season. The guard will enter the 2026-27 season as Richmond’s top returning scorer. He averaged 10.8 points, the most of any Atlantic 10 freshman, in 31 games last season. He also led all conference first-year players in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.6) and steals per game (1.2) while ranking second with 2.0 assists per game.

Making Plays. The Atlantic 10 Conference named Aidan O’Neil the Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. O”Neil tied his season high with a game-best seven points, recording three goals and matching a season-high four assists in Richmond’s 21-7 win over UMass. He leads the Spiders with 40 points.
