Banks had a stellar game this past weekend with seven solo tackles and a fumble recovery of 47-yards for the Spiders first touchdown of the game. 🔼 Ow(e)n It. A freshman just proved his skills at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. Owen Pearce tied the freshman record with 6-under 66 in just his second collegiate round. His score ties for the fourth-lowest 18-hole score in program history and matches the lowest round ever for a freshman at UR. The team finished tied for 8th in the event, hitting 847 (-17). 🏌️ Read more about Owen Pearce here.

 🔼 10/10. The women’s golf team finished tied for 10th in the Golfweek Fall Challenge with an 883 (+31) total. Lauren Jones led the team in the third round with a +1, and Christine Mandile finished with a +2. Hannah Lydic was the only Spider to finish under par, and that was in the first round when she shot 70 (-1).

Making Plays. Redshirt junior quarterback Jackson Hardy stepped foot on the field for his first game of the 2023 season against Michigan State. He threw his first career touchdown pass to Sean Clarke in the game, along with making many other plays.

Double S. The Richmond Flying Squirrels invited the Spiders out to a game for a special night at the Diamond. The Spiders’ new baseball manager, Mik Aoki, and WebstUR had a warm welcome on the field and got to catch up with baseball alum Mike Mergenthaler. Thanks to all the Spiders fans who attended, and we hope to see Squirrels fans at Pitt Field this spring.
