🔼 Run-Rule ‘Em. The baseball team beat Coppin State 19-1 in seven innings on Tuesday. The Spiders are now 10-7 this season. Angel Santiago-Cruz collected his first win of the season after tossing two scoreless frames, allowing two hits and striking out three. Michael Elko went 3-for-3 at the plate and scored four times. Noah Harvey tallied three RBIs.

🔼 3 Done. The women’s golf team wrapped up the Low Country Intercollegiate. The Spiders finished in third place with a score of 922 (+55). This marks Richmond’s third straight tournament top-five finish. Maya Beasley and Addie Doroh tied for ninth place individually with a score of 226 (+10).

🔼 Secured the Win. The women’s tennis team beat UC Irvine 4-3 on Tuesday. The Spiders won the doubles point. The women went on to win three singles matches to get the dub.

🔼 Day 2. The men’s golf team has played two rounds at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate. Richmond is in second place overall with a score of 568 (-8). Carson Baez and Lucas Rizo-Patron are tied for third place individually, with scores of 140 (-4).

Women’s lacrosse player Alexis Morton was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week. This is her second time earning the award this season. Morton tallied 11 points on three goals and eight assists in Richmond’s win over VCU on Saturday. She tied the program’s single-game record with 11 points and eight assists. She is the fourth Spider in program history to reach 11 points in a game.

Best Arm. Baseball player Joey Giordano has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week. Giordano took a no-hitter through six and a third of an innings against Binghamton on Saturday. He allowed the Bearcats only one run of the day and reached a career-high 12 strikeouts.
