🔼 State Recognition. Two women’s basketball players were honored by the Virginia Sports Information Directors. Addie Budnik and Maggie Doogan were named to the 2024-25 All-State Women’s Basketball Teams. Budnik earned VaSID Defensive Player of the Year and was honored on the All-State Second Team. Spider alumna Alyssa Walker signed with Carolina Ascent FC! Walker is a forward who played at Richmond from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, she led the team with 21 shots, including four on the net.

Academic Honor. The College Sports Communicators named Brady O’Brien to the Academic All-America First Team. He is the first Spider to be selected for the award since 2021. O’Brien started 50 games at third base in his lone season with the program in 2025. ⚾️ Here’s more about O’Brien.
