Good morning. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!🎶 The women’s basketball team just made program history with its first-ever regular season title in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

🔼 We Are #1. The women’s basketball team made program history after winning its last conference game of the season against St. Bonaventure 61-46. The Spiders are the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Regular Season Champions, finishing league play with a 16-2 record. They will be in the No. 1 overall seed in the A-10 Women’s Basketball Championships next week. 🏀 Here’s more about the upcoming championship games.

🔼 On a Roll. The men’s basketball team added another win to its season after beating VCU on Saturday in the Richmond Area Honda Dealers Capital City Classic to continue its winning streak. The Spiders scored 47 points and shot 16-24 in the second half to take the 79-76 victory. Jordan King scored a game-high 27 points. The team shot 53.1% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point line. The Spiders will play Wednesday vs. Saint Joseph’s (tickets) with a chance to clinch the A-10 regular season title. 🏀 Here’s more about the win.

🔼 Getting Dubs. The baseball team competed in the Central Virginia Challenge this past weekend and beat Sacred Heart 2-0. Aaron Whitley hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to secure the win. It was also his first home run as a Spider. Brian Reinke collected a career-high 10 strikeouts in six innings. Next, the Spiders took down Central Connecticut State 13-3. The team had 12 hits overall, and three athletes hit multi-run home runs.

🔼 A-10 Wins. The men’s tennis team competed in its first conference matches this past weekend and won them both. The men beat Davidson 4-2 and Duquesne 4-1.

🔼 Bringing Home Honors. The women’s track and field and men’s cross country teams competed at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships and earned All-East Honors in 11 separate events. The women took third place overall, and the men finished 20th. 👟 See the final times for each event here.

Lucky 7. The men’s lacrosse team took down Binghamton 19-10 for its third win of the season. Luke Grayum scored seven goals, tying the program record for goals in a game made by Richie Connell in 2021. Seven other athletes scored goals to add to the victory— Dalton Young, Aidan O’Neil, Max Merklinger, Lance Madonna, Jack Ricciardi, Jeff Nugent, Charlie Packard and Lukas Olsson. 🥍 See how the men won here.
