🔼 Leading the Way. The National Association of Basketball Coaches named Chris Mooney Coach of the Year for District 4, which is composed of the 15 teams in the Atlantic 10. He is the first Spiders coach to receive this selection. Mooney was also named a finalist for the National Coach of the Year. The NABC also named Jordan King to the First Team All-District. The Spiders have had a player selected to the NABC All-District team in each of the last five seasons. 🏀 Read about Mooney and King here.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The men’s basketball team ended its season in the first round of the NIT in its 74-58 loss against Virginia Tech. The Spiders went 23-10 overall this season. Dji Bailey and Isaiah Bigelow each scored 15 points. Bigelow had a team-high seven rebounds. Jordan King made his 84th three-pointer of the season, which tied him for the third most in a season in program history. 🏀 Here’s more about the game.

Double Feature. The Atlantic 10 tabbed two Spiders to weekly honors. Maggie Jordan was named Defensive Player of the Week. Abby Francioli received Rookie of the Week. Jordan posted three ground balls, three caused turnovers and five draw controls against Davidson. Francioli had 17 saves on goal for a save percentage of 70.8. 🥍 Read more about the duo here.
