🔼  Conference Opener. The women’s basketball team opened Atlantic 10 Conference play against George Washington on Dec. 30 and came out on top. The Spiders beat the Revolutionaries 70-66, and Grace Townsend hit a career-high 26 points. She went 10-19 from the field and a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe. Townsend now totals 938 career points. When will she hit the 1000-point mark this season? Make sure to watch her play the rest of the season to see! 🏀 Read more about the dub here.

🔼 Hold ‘em Down. The men’s basketball team played some of its best defense in its game against Lafayette on Dec. 30. First off, the Spiders won 59-38. Secondly, the team held the Leopards to 25% shooting from the field and allowed its third-fewest points in 19 seasons under Chris Mooney. The men finished 8-5 in the non-conference schedule and are 4-0 all-time against Lafayette. 🏀 See what Mooney has to say about the win here.

Halfway There. The women’s basketball team is already in the second part of the season with conference play. The team did very well in the first half of the season in non-conference play.
