🔼  Record Broken! The women’s basketball team faced Davidson on Saturday and won 91-84 in triple overtime. Maggie Doogan scored 48 points, breaking the University of Richmond women’s basketball record for points in a game and posting the most points scored in an NCAA Division I game this season. Doogan also had a double-double with 13 rebounds. The team shot 46.9% from the field and 50% from the three-point line. The Spiders are now 14-4 overall, and 4-1 in conference play.

🔼 Pool of Four. The swim and dive team competed in a quad meet against William & Mary, Old Dominion and East Carolina. The Spiders earned a win against ODU, 243-51. Richmond fell to William & Mary 211-83 and ECU 174-125. Lena Amare led the team with a victory in the 200 IM. Molly Blanchard finished third in the 200 IM.

🔼 Close Game. The men’s basketball team faced Saint Joseph’s on Sunday. The Spiders were trailing 50-33 with 19 minutes left in regulation. The men made a huge comeback and trailed by one point, 66-65, in the final minute of the game. Mikkel Tyne’s game-winning three-point attempt from the left wing glanced off the back of the rim, giving SJU the 67-65 win.

Anotha’ One. The track and field team competed in the VCU Rams Indoor Invitational on Friday. Molly Wise took first place in the long jump for the second time this indoor season. Wise won the event with a 5.97-meter mark. Sydney Phillips placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 11.21 meters.
