Maggie Doogan was named to the 2025-26 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s Player of the Year Watch List.

🔼 Nationally Recognized. Women’s basketball senior forward Maggie Doogan was named to the 2026 Katrina McClain Award and the 2025-26 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s Player of the Year Watch List. The McClain Award honors the nation’s top power forward in Division I college basketball. The Naismith Trophy recognizes the most outstanding women's college basketball player in the nation. Doogan earned a spot on the ESPN Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Players list. She is the only mid-major player on the list. She ranks No. 25. Doogan averaged 17 points, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 55.5% from the field and 40.6 % behind the arc last season.

🔼 Coach Spotlight. Women’s basketball coach Aaron Roussell has been named to the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Preseason Watch List. This is the second-straight season he has been selected. The honor recognizes 20 coaches from the 13 conferences across Division I women’s basketball who have demonstrated excellence leading mid-major programs. 🏀 Read about Roussell’s accomplishments.

🔼 Top Player. Women’s basketball graduate Tierra Simon was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Top 20 Watch List. Simon is a transfer from Saint Louis. Last season, she started all 32 games and averaged 8.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and one block per game. 🏀 Get more info about Simon.

🔼 It’s Game Day! Spider Field hockey celebrated Halloween a day early so the team can focus on today’s matchup at VCU. With a win, Richmond would be the Atlantic 10 regular season champions and earn the No. 1 seed in next week’s A-10 Championship at Crenshaw Field. Good luck Spiders!

It’s Football Time. The football team hosts Fordham on Saturday at 2pm ET. The Spiders vs. Rams all-time series is tied 1-1.
Richmond is No. # in the Patriot League in pass defense, allowing just 167.8 yards per game, ranking 13th nationally.

Anotha’ One. Women’s golfer Addie Doroh was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. This is her second time earning the award in the last six weeks. Doroh tied for 31st amongst 72 golfers at the Evie Odom Invitational. She finished the fall season with a 74.83 scoring average, the third-best on the team. ⛳️ Learn more about Doroh.
