🔼 Anotha’ Dub. The No. 23 football team earned its second win of the season against Howard on Saturday. The Spiders won 28-21 on touchdowns by Aziz Foster-Powell, Quanye Vaney, Bryce Allen and Sean Clarke. Quarterback Ashten Snelsire threw for 261 yards, 19 completions and three touchdowns. Richmond led in total offense with 300 yards.

🔼 Weekend Wins. The field hockey team started its weekend with a Friday win over American University. The Spiders won 2-0 off of goals from Clara Larripa and Elen Nicholls. This marked the team’s first win over the Eagles since 2019. Richmond also beat Longwood on Sunday 6-0. Larripa recorded her sixth career Spider hattrick with three goals. Malena Magnano, Abril Peroni and Valen Luna Paratore each scored a goal as well. Goalkeeper Amanda Cimillo had one save.

Spider Alumni Open. The cross country team hosted the first meet of the season at the Spider Alumni Open on Saturday. Both teams finished in the top five. The women took third and the men placed fifth.

Ella Solorzano led the women with a # place finish in the 4k distance, the best finish by a Richmond runner in the event since 2023.

🔼 Unbeaten Streak! The women’s soccer team continued its unbeaten streak after a 2-1 win over Radford on Sunday. Alex Reigle and Christina Stamoulacatos each scored. The Spiders had 14 shots and seven shots on goal. Goalkeeper Isabel Seifert had five saves and Veronica Rrapi had one. Richmond is now 3-0-3 this season and extended its unbeaten streak through six games for the first time in program history. Dating back to last season, the Spiders are 4-0-5 over their last nine matches, breaking the previous program record of eight consecutive games without a loss set in October 2011.
