🔼 Big Win. The football team secured a win in its season opener against Bucknell. The Spiders won 35-14 at home. Quarterback Ashten Snesire threw three touchdown passes, Aziz Foster-Powell scored twice on the ground, freshman receiver Bryce Allen caught two touchdown passes and tight end Carson Derey added the first score of his career. The Spiders had 199 passing yards and 194 rushing yards.
🔼 Top 3. The men’s golf team started its season with a third place finish at the Virtues Intercollegiate. Richmond had a team score of 846 (-18). Jack LaPiana led the Spiders with a score of 207 (-9). He finished tied for third. Mason Deal followed in seventh place with a score of 208 (-8). Richmond had a team score of 279 (-9) in round three, which equaled the 16th lowest round in team history.
🔼 Unbeaten Streak. The soccer team took on St. Mary’s on Sunday and tied 0-0. The Spiders stretched their unbeaten streak to four games, the longest streak without a loss to open a season in program history. Goalkeeper Veronica Rrapi had two saves. Richmond had 10 shots and two were on goal.

🔼 Amazing Start. The field hockey team had a big win for its season opener against Queens. The Spiders won 12-0. The 12 goals in a single game matches a program record. The 36 points tallied in the game is tied for ninth most points in NCAA Division I history. Richmond had 35 shots and 26 shots were on goal. Olivia Eusanio (3), Clara Larripa (3), Malena Magnano (1), Elen Nicholls (1) and Abril Peroni (4) scored. The women then played #6 Duke on Sunday and fell 1-0. Richmond is 1-1 so far this season.
