🔼 Redemption! The football team beat Georgetown 24-21 on Saturday. Aziz Foster-Powell scored all three touchdowns of the game. He scored on a 33yd run, 4yd run and 12yd pass from Ashten Snelsire. Kyle Bitsko connected from 49yds as time expired for the first field goal of his career to give Richmond the W. Snelsire went 29-of-49 for 322yds and one touchdown. The Spider defense recorded three sacks.

🔼 Conference Play. The field hockey team beat Davidson in the first A-10 game of the season. The Spiders won 5-2 on Friday. Maura Seeger, Abril Peroni, Maia Dechario, Clara Larripa and Valen Luna Paratore each scored. Richmond had 24 shots and 12 shots on goal. The Spiders also won their Sunday game against William & Mary 5-2. Larripa tallied her third hat trick of the season. Malena Magnano and Avery Russell each scored.

🔼 The Tourney. Women’s tennis player Sophia Barbulescu won her first match at the ITA All-American Championship. She beat Iowa’s Mia Soso 6-1 in the first set, dropped the second set 5-7 and won the third set 6-1. On Sunday in the round of 128, she fell to Kenzie Nguyen of Columbia University, 6-2 and 6-3.

🔼 Draw. The women’s soccer team tied George Washington 1-1 on Sunday. The Spiders extend their unbeaten streak to nine games this season and 12 games dating back to last season, both program records. Freshman Christina Stamoulacatos scored for Richmond. This marks her fourth straight game with a point.

🔼 Top 10. The cross country team competed at the Adidas XC Challenge on Friday. The women finished in fourth place and the men finished in seventh. Ella Solorzano led the women in the 5k with a 32nd place finish. Alex Mastroly led the men in the 6k with a 50th place finish.
