🔼 Victory! The football team beat William & Mary in the Capital Cup. The Spiders came back from 14 points down to win 28-21. Ja’Vion Griffin, Quanye Veney, Kyle Wickersham and Ashten Snelsire made it to the endzone. Richmond finished the season 7-5 and has now won 17 of the last 21 Capital Cup games.

🔼 Keep it 100. The men’s basketball team beat Gardner-Webb 102-67 on Saturday. Richmond matched its best unbeaten start in 21 seasons under Chris Mooney with a record of 5-0. This marked the first game the Spiders have scored 100+ points since the 2024-25 season opener. The men shot 52.1% from the field and 41.9% from behind the arc. AJ Lopez led the team with 18 points.

🔼 Big Stats. The women’s basketball team handed Navy its first loss of the season. Richmond won 69-56 on Sunday. Maggie Doogan recorded her 15th career double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Ally Sweeney tallied a season-high 16 points. The women are now 5-1 this season.

Final Lap. The swim and dive team wrapped up the Patriot Invite. On day three, the Spiders earned three points in every event on Friday, placing 14 Spiders into finals. On the final day, the Spiders finished in third place overall with 1,182 points. Lena Amare led the Spiders with a runner-up finish in the 200 back.
