📈 STOCK UP

🔼 So Close. The Spiders had a strong start in the first game of the season against Morgan State. In their first possession of the game, Kyle Wickersham ran one yard for a touchdown on their twelfth play. Morgan State answered right after to tie it up 7-7. The game was at a standstill until the third quarter when Andrew Lopez added three points on a field goal. Morgan State tied the game in the fourth when they got a field goal and ended up winning in the last six minutes when they scored a touchdown. The Spiders were unable to answer back, and they fell behind 17-10.

🔼 For the Kids. Richmond Athletics Hall of Fame athlete Stacy Tutt made sure to pack Robins Stadium for the home opener. The former New York Jet is currently the athletic commissioner for Impact Sports Academy and brought out more than 100 kids and 150 parents to the Richmond vs. Morgan State game.

🔼 (Mc)Meeking Plays. Jess McMeeking started and ended the field hockey game against Georgetown with goals. Her three shots were all shots on goal, and one found the net in the first and the second goal in the fourth. The Hoyas scored one in the second to tie, but the Spiders topped off the game with a total of three goals in the fourth to claim a 4-1 victory. The team is now 2-2 overall. 🏑 Watch the final goal being scored here.

🔼 Hi Old Friend. Cross country welcomes back Evan Leach to its coaching staff as a Volunteer Coach. Leach was a student-athlete in 2022-2023 for Spiders cross country and served as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Glen Allen High School for the past two years. 🏃 Read more about Leach here.
