🔼 Bring it Back. The baseball team is bringing back the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at its game against Dayton on May 4. Head coach Mik Aoki had a former baseball player that he coached who was diagnosed with ALS. That player, Pete Frates, started the Ice Bucket Challenge back in 2014. ⚾️ Hear the full story from Aoki here.

🔼 Happening Tomorrow. The Collegiate Running Association is hosting the 9th annual Collegiate 10k Road Race National Championship event as part of the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K in Richmond tomorrow. There are 1,700 college students racing to win a $3,500 prize. Stuart Terrill, Jordan Bendura, Paige Joyce, Manon Stephen, Henry Haas, William Marhold and Zach Stevens are all Richmond athletes who will be competing in the race. 🏃 Here’s more info about the race.

Voting Dub. Inside Lacrosse put a poll on X to vote for the Axia Time LLC Player of Week 10. They included one Spider men’s lacrosse player in the poll, and he won! He is a short-stick defensive midfielder who had five caused turnovers and one assist in the game against HPU.

Journey to Richmond. Women’s lacrosse player Maddy Sesay sat down with Spider Athletics to talk about her journey to Richmond and how her culture plays a role in the sport. Sesay is half Southern Indian and half Black. She is part of different clubs on campus like the Bollywood Club, Spider Athletes of Color Alliance and SAAC.
