🔼 Eight Dubs. The men’s basketball team is 8-1 this season after beating Old Dominion 86-77. The 8-1 start matches Chris Mooney’s best nine-game start in 21 seasons. The Spiders posted 50 points in the paint, equaling their most in any game since 2020. Jaden Daughtry led the team with 17 points. Mike Walz was right behind with 16 points.
🔼 Stat Check. The women’s basketball team faced Fairfield on Sunday. Maggie Doogan had 24 points. Rachel Ullstrom followed with 18 points. The Spiders fell 93-73, their first defeat in the Robins Center since Dec. 15, 2024.

Record Broken! The track and field team opened its season at the Liberty Kickoff. On day one, Molly Wise set a school record in the long jump. Her 6.22 meter length broke the 6.15 meter school record that was set last January. Wise is now ranked No. 2 in the NCAA. On day two, Hallie Muniz won the 3,000 meter with a personal-best time of 9:39.31.
