🔼 Secured the Dub. The men’s basketball team faced Belmont on Wednesday. The Spiders handed Belmont its first loss of the season in a 84-76 victory. Will Johnston led the team with 19 points. David Thomas added a season-high 18 points. The men finished 14-25 (56%) from behind the arc, their most three-pointers in a road game since 2019.

🔼 Streak! The women’s basketball team won its 25th straight home conference game. This streak dates back to 2023. The Spiders beat Loyola Chicago 69-46 on Wednesday. Maggie Doogan led the team with 20 points. Rachel Ullstrom followed with 19 points.

Season Awards. The cross country team had four athletes named 2025 Spider Athletes of the Year. Hallie Muniz earned Women’s Athlete of the Year after placing sixth in the Atlantic 10 Championship. Henry Haase was named the Men’s Athlete of the Year after being the top finisher in the NCAA Southeast Regional for the program. Alyson Stepp earned Women’s Rookie of the Year. She was the program’s No. 4 runner at the regional. Andy Condon was named the Men’s Rookie of the Year. He finished as the sixth-fastest freshman in the A-10 Championship.
