🔼 New Spider. The men’s basketball team welcomes Amon Dörries to the 2026-27 roster. Dörries is a 6’11” center from Potsdam, Germany. He is transferring from Bucknell. At Bucknell last season, he scored the most points by a freshman in program history. Dörries led Bucknell and ranked fifth in the Patriot League with 16.2 points per game, making him the 23rd highest scoring freshman in Division I last season. 

🔼 Multiple Honors. The women’s golf team had two players earn Atlantic 10 honors. Maya Beasley won a pair of Golfer of the Week awards. Addie Doroh was named the Rookie of the Week. Bealsey has now won four A-10 Women’s Golfer of the Week honors this season. Doroh has earned three weekly A-10 Awards this spring.

Top 10. Men’s lacrosse player Hunter Smith was selected 10th overall during the Premier Lacrosse League College Draft by the Boston Cannons. He was the second pick of the second round. He is the highest PLL Draft pick in program history and was the second defenseman taken in the draft. He has recorded 73 caused turnovers and 97 ground balls in 60 career games, ranking fifth all-time at Richmond in caused turnovers and eighth in caused turnovers per game (1.21).
