Good morning, Spiders. For the seventh time this season, women’s basketball player Maggie Doogan was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player of the Week. She was also named the USBWA National Player of the Week and to the 2026 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year Late-Season Team.

🔼 Victory! The No. 5/6 men’s lacrosse team won its home game against Mercer 15-5. The Spiders are now 3-0 for the first time since 2017. Richmond led with 49 shots compared to Mercer’s 25. Aidan O’Neil had three goals and four assists. Lucas Littlejohn had three goals. O’Neil went on to be named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week.

🔼 First Place. The men’s golf team had a record-breaking week at the Loyola Intercollegiate. The Spiders won the event for the second-straight year. Richmond had a final score of 830 (-34). This is the lowest score in team history. Carson Baez captured his first collegiate title with a score of 199 (-17). His score broke the program record for lowest tournament score.

The men’s lacrosse team has been picked as the preseason favorites of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The defending Atlantic 10 champions were picked to finish first for the fourth consecutive year. Five Spiders also earned Preseason All-Conference honors: attackmen Aidan O'Neil and Lucas Littlejohn, midfielders Joe Sheridan and Jack Pilling, and defenseman Hunter Smith.

Preseason Poll. The women’s tennis team was picked to finish third in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Preseason Poll. Richmond totaled 122 points in the poll. Lara Bakhaya and Sofia Barbulescu earned spots on the Preseason All-Conference Team.
