🔼  Breakout. The men are heading into the holiday break at 7-5 after defeating Buffalo 72-66. The highest lead for Richmond was 20 points at six minutes in the second half when Jordan King made a three-pointer. Neal Quinn led the team with 23 points, and Isaiah Bigelow had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. This marked Coach Mooney’s 350th victory as a Division I head coach. He’s one of 46 active D-I coaches with 350 career wins. 🏀 Here’s more info about the win.

🔼 Even Split. The women’s basketball team has hit double digits in the win column this season. The Spiders sit 10-3 after their win over Chattanooga in the Cherokee Invitational. The women finished 1-1 in the Invitational. Maggie Doogan led the team with 17 points and had a team-high seven boards. Addie Budnik had a team-high six assists and had 10 points. 🏀 Read more about the team’s last non-conference game here.

Familiar Faces. From National Signing Day, there are a couple of players from Virginia. Kyree Richardson is the only one from right here in Richmond.

Spiderling. National Signing Day for football was on Wednesday, and Richmond has 16 new Spiders joining the web. The class covers eight position groups from seven states. There are three defensive backs, three offensive linemen, two linebackers, two wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end, one defensive end, one defensive lineman, and one quarterback. 🏈 See all the names here.
