🔼 Fight Through. The men’s basketball team excelled until the last second of overtime against Davidson. The Spiders won 69-64, putting them 5-0 in conference play, which matches the team’s best conference start since joining the A-10 in 2001. This was also the men’s eighth straight win. Jordan King had 24 points total and scored 13 of Richmond’s final 16 points. 🏀 Read about the victory here.

🔼 Seven and Eight. Conference win number seven is in the books for the women’s basketball team as they took down Dayton 72-39. This was also the women’s eighth straight overall win. The Spiders held the Flyers to only three points in the first quarter and posted a season-low for points allowed in a game. Maggie Doogan led the team with 21 points for her sixth game with 20+ points this season. 🏀 Here’s more about the win.

First x2. The women’s track and field team competed in the VMI Team Challenge with two first-place finishes. Elke Van der Westhuizen ran a 1:38.73 in the 600m to take first place. Alicia Dawson finished first in the triple jump with a 12.29m distance. 👟 See more event finishes here.
