🔼 Fine Nine. The football team had nine player named to Phil Steele Preseason All-Patriot League Teams. Richmond's first-team selections include defensive lineman Camden Byrd, linebacker Carter Glassmyer, offensive lineman Ronald Anderson and defensive back Jordan Allen. The Spiders' second-team selections include running back Aziz Foster-Powell, offensive lineman Jason Smith, defensive lineman TJ Baldwin, defensive back Tayshaun Burney and defensive back Lee Bruner IV. Richmond's nine selections return from a 2025 squad that ranked among the Patriot League leaders on both sides of the ball.

Camden Byrd and Carter Glassmyer were named to Phil Steele Preseason Patriot League honors. Byrd was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Byrd and Glassmyer were named to the All-America Team as well. Glassmyer finished second on the team with 82 tackles, including 40 solo stops. Byrd recorded 34 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss totaling 83 yards, and ranked second in the Patriot League and 15th nationally in forced fumbles with three.

🔼 Scholars. The men’s golf team had four players named Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars. Carson Baez, Jack LaPiana, Parker Moellinger, and Quin Polin were all selected. The Spiders played in at least 50% of the competitive rounds during the season, posted a stroke average under 76.0, maintained a GPA of 3.2 or higher and displayed high moral character. Richmond was one of 81 Division I schools with at least four honorees. 2026 is the sixth straight year at least four Spiders have been named All-American Scholars.
