🔼 Know the Names. The men’s lacrosse team has 15 days until its first game, and two seniors are already being recognized. Dalton Young and Lance Madonna have been named USA Lacrosse Division I Men’s Preseason All-American Honorable Mentions. Young led the Spiders with a career-high 73 points last season, and Madonna had 29 goals. 🥍 Read more about the seniors here.

🔼 Point by Point. The women’s basketball team was back and forth with Davidson down to the last minute of the game. The Spiders led 56-54 with 1:49 on the clock when Grace Townsend completed a hoop-and-harm to add three vital points and secure the win 59-54. Townsend also led the team with 15 points, and Maggie Doogan followed with 12. The women are now 6-0 in conference play. 🏀 Here’s how the game played out.

Recognition Earned. The track and field team competed at the Virginia Tech Invitational last weekend, and one athlete’s skills stood out. Alicia Dawson has been named Atlantic 10 Field Performer of the Week. Dawson landed a personal best in the long jump at 5.86m. She also had a 12.47m triple jump. Both marks landed her in the Richmond history books. Her long jump is the second longest in program history, and her triple jump tied her for fourth in program history. 🏃 Here’s more info about Dawson.
