The baseball team beat Saint Louis and plays in the semifinals today.
Good morning. No days off. 😤 The baseball team hit up Gold’s Gym in Fairfax Station for an off-day lift.

🔼 Still Going. The baseball team is moving on to the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament semifinals! The Spiders beat Saint Louis 13-10 on Wednesday. The team had 11 hits and five home runs. Jordan Jaffe and Jack Arcamone hit two home runs, and Connor Larson hit one. The men will play today at 11 a.m. ET against No. 2 VCU. ⚾️ Read more about the win here.
🔼 Three Results. Three Spiders competed in the NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary Outdoor Championships. Alicia Dawson finished 32nd in the long jump with a measurement of 5.88m. Madison Trippett took 37th in the 1500m with a time of 4:24.25. Elizabeth Stockman finished 45th in the 1500m with a time of 4:30.48. 👟 Read more about the results here.
🔼 Rookies Rule. The Atlantic 10 Conference named Jackson Hinchliffe to the A-10 All-Rookie Team. Hinchliffe made 11 appearances with three starts in the regular season. He tossed 30.2 innings, went 1-1, had a 3.82 ERA and 17 strikeouts. ⚾️ Get more info about Hinchliffe.
🔼 Rodriguez Recognized. The Atlantic 10 Conference named Esteban Rodriguez to the All-A-10 Second Team. Rodriguez made 10 starts in 15 appearances. He threw 68 innings, struck out 81 batters and had a 4-2 record. He ranked in the top 10 in innings pitched, third in strikeouts and fourth in batters struck out looking in the A-10 during the regular season. ⚾️ Read about Rodriguez here.
🤔 SPIDERS TRIVIA
Smart All Around. The Atlantic 10 named a baseball player to the All-Academic Team. This student-athlete started in 52 of 54 games at the top of the lineup and in the outfield. He led the team with 65 hits, 16 doubles and 28 walks during the regular season.

🕷️ ONE BIG THING
Brick Wall. The Atlantic 10 Conference named Aaron Whitley the Defensive Player of the Year. Whitley is a centerfielder who paced the team with a .381 average in 37 games during the regular season. He did not commit an error in the outfield and collected one assist while making 98 putouts in 99 chances. ⚾️ Here’s more about Whitley.
