🔼 Lots of Firsts. The Spiders had a lot of players get their foot on the field for the first time this season in the game against Michigan State. This was also the first time the Spiders faced the Spartans. After Aaron Banks recovered a fumble and ran 47 yards to the end zone, Jayden Alsheskie made his debut appearance and kicked in the extra point. Jackson Hardy was put in for quarterback and connected with Sean Clarke for a five-yard touchdown pass. This was Hardy and Clarke's first appearance on the field this season, first career touchdown pass for Hardy, and first career touchdown reception for Clarke. 🏈 Read more about the game here.

🔼 Senior Slay. The soccer team faced Charlotte in its last non-conference match of the season and fell 3-2, but the seniors showed off as the program celebrated Senior Day. Senior Hannah Antonick scored the first goal for Richmond off of a penalty kick, and then graduate student Emma Shields scored in the second half. ⚽️ Read more about the game here.
🔼 Up One. Field hockey made a third and fourth-quarter comeback against UC Davis for a 2-1 win. The Aggies scored early in the first quarter, and the Spiders tied it in the third with a goal by Avery Russell and secured their third win of the season when Cori Nichols scored in the fourth. 🏑 Look at game day photos here.
🤔 SPIDERS TRIVIA
Queen Putt. The Women’s Golf team opened its season Sunday in South Carolina and is set to play at the Nittany Lion Invitation this weekend. The team has six returners and two newcomers who will look to take another top-five finish in the event like it did last season.

🕷️ ONE BIG THING
Match Maker. The men’s tennis fall schedule just got released, and the Spiders have five matches set. You can see the men play at home on Oct. 6-8 at the River City Tennis Open. Head coach Houston Barrick said the home event will be a dual-match format. There are four returners on the team and five new freshmen, so make sure to come to the home event to get to know all the athletes.
