🔼 Week Begins. The baseball team began its week with a walk-off win over Fairfield 11-10. The Spiders came back from an eight-run deficit. Aaron Whitley hit his first home run of the season. Phil Bernstein led the team at the plate with 3 RBIs. Richmond then beat NC State 5-1. Jordan Jaffe and Jack Arcamone’s home runs in the seventh inning put the men in the lead to win the game.

The women’s basketball team did it again. The Spiders are the Atlantic 10 regular season champions for the second season in a row! The women will be the No. 1 seed at the A-10 Women’s Basketball Championship at Henrico Sports & Events Center next week.

Magic #3. The Atlantic 10 Conference named Maggie Doogan the Under Armour Player of the Week for the third time this season. She also earned the World Exposure Report Player of the Week award. She led the Spiders against George Washington with 26 points and a 9-of-12 shooting performance. Then, she had a game-high 33 points against VCU. 🏀 Here’s more about Doogan.
