🔼 Took ‘Em Down. The men’s basketball team beat George Mason, which entered the game as the No. 2 team in the Atlantic 10 Conference, on Tuesday at home. The Spiders won 82-70, and four players scored in double-digits. Mikkel Tyne led the team with 16 points. AJ Lopez was right behind with 15. Richmond shot 47.7% from the field.

🔼 Spring Season Begins. The men’s golf team opened its spring season at the Lake Jovita Invitational on Tuesday. Sophomore Carson Baez shot 205 (-11), which is the sixth-lowest tournament score in program history. He finished in second place among 88 golfers at the event. The Spiders finished in fifth place with a team score of 856 (-8).

Richmond women’s basketball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Brittany Pinkney has been selected to participate in the 2026 WBCA Next Generation Institute. The WBCA Next Generation Institute is a selective, high-level professional development program designed for experienced assistant coaches who aspire to become collegiate head coaches. Pinkney is one of 35 assistant coaches nationwide chosen for the 2026 cohort.

Game Update. Due to field conditions at Klöckner Stadium, Richmond's women's lacrosse game against Virginia scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 4 p.m. will be played at Lower Turf Field and will be closed to the public. The game will stream live on ACC Network Extra. Live stats will also be available on StatBroadcast and the Virginia Sports mobile app.
