🔼 Spiders Honored. Richmond baseball landed eight players on the Atlantic 10 all-conference teams, headlined by sophomore left-hander Joey Giordano as A-10 Pitcher of the Year and outfielder Evan Wilson as Rookie of the Year. Giordano enters the postseason with a nation-best 11-0 record and a 3.08 ERA in his first full season back from UCL surgery. Wilson earned four Rookie of the Week honors and ranks among the league leaders in OPS (1.113) and slugging (.636).

First baseman Dylan Winebrenner and Giordano earned First Team nods, while second baseman Michael Elko and Wilson landed on the Second Team. Dom Ruggiero, Chris Schaller, and Wilson were named to the All-Rookie Team, and Jackson Hinchliffe, RJ Johnson Jr., and Winebrenner made the All-Academic Team.

🔼 Spiders Surge. Richmond men's golf vaulted to 10th place after a 13-stroke improvement in Round 2 of the Winston-Salem NCAA Regional. Freshman Lucas Rizo-Patron led the charge with a 6-under 65, matching his career low and the sixth-lowest round in program history, fueled by eagles on the 4th and 6th holes. Sophomore Carson Baez added a 2-under 69, highlighted by a 148-yard holeout on the 1st hole. With one round remaining, the Spiders have a shot at their first top-10 finish at an NCAA Regional since 1999.

🔼 Mark Your Calendar. Richmond football's Week 3 trip to ACC foe NC State has moved from Saturday, Sept. 12, to Friday, Sept. 11, with kickoff time to come. The Spiders have six home dates on tap in 2026, starting with Bucknell on Aug. 29, and season tickets are on sale now.

🔼 Lead The Way. Richmond women’s soccer announced its 2026 team captains. Senior Gwen Howell from Mars, Pa., and senior Sydney Bortz from Terrace Park, Ohio, will lead the Spiders this season.

As the spring season winds down, we’re looking ahead to football season! The Spiders will play a 12-game schedule that features three nonconference games and nine Patriot League battles. As part of its conference schedule, the Spiders will square off against two new members of the Patriot League in Villanova (Nov. 7) and William & Mary (Nov. 21).
