🔼 Seven Spiders Honored. Richmond men's lacrosse landed seven players on the 2026 USILA All-America teams, headlined by captain Jack Pilling earning First Team honors as a short-stick defensive midfielder, his third First Team postseason recognition. Defenseman Hunter Smith and midfielder Joe Sheridan were named Second Team, while midfielder Gavin Creo and attackman Aidan O'Neil earned Third Team nods. Goalie Connor Knight and long-stick midfielder Brayden Penafather-Stevenson received Honorable Mention.

🔼 Heart Of A Spider. Richmond senior attackman Jack Ricciardi was named to the inaugural class for the Coach Liam Gleason Humanitarian Award, honoring Division I men's lacrosse players who exemplify leadership, sportsmanship, and community involvement. The award was established in memory of Siena lacrosse coach Liam Gleason, who passed away in December 2025. Ricciardi spent much of his career as a scout team player before earning his first start as a junior and never looking back, putting together a 34-point senior season with 21 goals and 13 assists across 16 games.

🔼 Finish Strong. Richmond men's golf wrapped up the Winston-Salem NCAA Regional in 11th place, matching the program's best regional finish since the 1999 squad advanced to the NCAA Championship. Carson Baez led the Spiders at even par after firing a 1-under 70 in the final round, his 20th under-par round of the season. Freshman Lucas Rizo-Patron finished one shot back at 1-over, and Jack LaPiana closed strong with a 2-under 69 in the final round.

🕷️ ONE BIG THING

🔼 Spider Pride Runs Deep. From longtime supporters Judy and Larry Boppe to recent alumna Addie Nash Crabtree, Richmond's UR Here Giving Day continues to unite generations of Spider fans around athletics philanthropy. Larry, a 1964 graduate, and Judy have traveled the country cheering on Spider football, basketball, and golf, even watching grandson Carter Cook play on the men's golf team.

Crabtree, a former field hockey captain from a family full of Spider student-athletes, carries that same spirit forward as a young alumna. All three have participated in every UR Here Giving Day since the initiative launched in 2019, making them part of a loyal core helping fuel the future of Richmond Athletics.
