Good morning, Spiders. Richmond men's lacrosse head coach Dan Chemotti agreed to a long-term contract extension after guiding the Spiders to a historic 2026 season that included the program's first-ever No. 1 national ranking, Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament titles, and a home NCAA Tournament game that drew the largest first-round crowd in tournament history at 6,805.

The only head coach in program history, Chemotti holds a 132-68 record with 13 combined conference championships and has led Richmond to the conference tournament championship game in 12 straight seasons, which is the longest active streak in the nation. The Spiders finished second nationally in cumulative attendance this season.

🔼 Going Pro. Richmond women's basketball star Maggie Doogan signed a professional contract with Baxi Ferrol in Spain's top division. Doogan finished second in Richmond's all-time scoring list with 2,138 career points and was a two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, the only Spider to win the award multiple times since joining the conference.

Her senior season featured 21.1 points per game, a program record 716 total points, and a 48-point outburst against Davidson that marked Richmond and A-10 records, and set the NCAA season-high. She earned honorable mention All-America honors from the USBWA, WBCA, and USA TODAY Sports.
