🔼 Ranked! The football team moved up to No. 19 in the FCS Coaches Poll!

🔼 Top 20. The women’s golf team competed in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational. Richmond finished in seventh place with a score of 882 (+18). Two Spiders finished in the top-20 individually. Maya Beasley led with a score even to par, tying for 16th. Stella Moritz tied for 19th with a score of 217 (+1).

🔼 Top 10. The men’s golf team competed in the Rod Myers Invitational. The event was cut short due to the rain. After playing two rounds, the men finished in ninth place with a score of 575 (-1). Three Spiders finished in the top-30 individually. Quin Polin led with a score of 141 (-3), tying for 14th place. Davis Conaway tied for 23rd and Jack LaPiana tied for 29th.

Football freshman kicker Kyle Bitsko was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. This marks the Richmond’s first Patriot League weekly award of the 2026 season. Bitsko connected on a 49-yard field goal to break a 21-21 tie. This was also the first made field goal of his collegiate career. So far this season, he has converted 10-of-11 extra-point attempts.

🔼 Double Trouble. The field hockey team had two players earn Atlantic 10 Conference weekly honors. Clara Larripa was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Larripa recorded her third hat trick of the season. She leads the country with 12 goals in eight games and ranks second nationally in goals per game (1.50) and third in points per game (3.38). Elen Nicholls was named the Defensive Player of the Week. She is tied for the nation’s top spot with four defensive saves this season. The Spider defense is ranked in the top-five nationally.
