🔼 CHAMPIONS. The women’s swim and dive team finished first at the Atlantic 10 Championships. On day three, the Spiders had 11 athletes advance to finals and three podium finishes. The 400 medley relay won a silver medal. Cailtlyn Hughes won bronze in the 200 free. On the final day, Richmond won the A-10 title for the first time since 2017. The Spiders tallied 600 points over the four-day meet and collected four gold medals, five silver medals and four bronze medals.

🔼 That’s a Dub. The men’s basketball team faced St. Bonaventure on Senior Night on Saturday. The Spiders won 99-94. The 99 points were Richmond’s third most ever in a regulation (non-overtime) A-10 game. Graduate students Will Johnston had 21 points and AJ Lopez had 20 points.

🔼 Senior Day. The women’s basketball team played its Senior Day game against La Salle on Sunday. The Spiders won 92-58. Aneisha Scott had a career-high 20 points. Maggie Doogan added 16 points. Richmond is now 23-6 overall and 13-3 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

🔼 Series Win! The baseball team won its series against Penn State. The men fell in game one 5-0, but came back and swept the doubleheader on Saturday, 3-0 and 4-3. Joey Giordano got his second win on the mound this season after striking out three batters over five innings. Ryan Recio and Grant Kennedy each had two hits in game one. Dylan Winebrenner hit a homer in game two.

🔼 Multiple Goals. The men’s lacrosse team beat Lehigh 16-7 on Saturday. Lucas Littlejohn and Jack Ricciardi each scored four goals. The Spiders opened the season with four straight wins for the first time since 2017. Goalkeeper Conner Knight picked up his fourth win of the season by making seven saves and picking up four ground balls.

🔼 Debut. The men’s golf team had two players make their season debuts at the Coach Sykes Individual. Tyler Lee and Tommy Sharps played two rounds before Sunday’s final round was canceled due to the weather. Sharps finished 153 (+11) and Lee had a score of 154 (+12).

🤔 SPIDERS TRIVIA

Tight Game. The women’s lacrosse team took Duke into overtime, but fell 15-14. Alexis Morton led the team with four goals.

Morton is # goals away from the 100 career goal milestone.

Two Wins. The track and field team competed at the ASICS Last Chance Invite. Molly Wise led the way with a first-place finish in the long jump. Sydney Phillips added a fourth-place finish in the long jump. Phillips went on to win the triple jump.
