🔼 Strong Dub. The baseball team opened its series against Saint Louis with a 4-1 win on Thursday. Three Spiders recorded two hits and one RBI each: Evan Wilson, Dylan Winebrenner and RJ Johnson Jr. Chayse Gruber earned the win on the mound after pitching 3.0 innings. He struck out four batters and did not allow any runs.

🔼 Fantastic Four. The women’s tennis team had four Spiders earn Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors. Sofia Barbulescu and Abby Lee were named to the First Team. Lucy Webber and Beatriz Guerra were named to the Second Team. This marks the second straight season that Barbulescu has earned the honor.

🔼 Part 4. Baseball player Evan Wilson was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Under Armour Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. He hit a walk-off grand slam against George Washington in the 11th inning on Saturday. Wilson had one hit, drew two walks and scored three times in seven innings on Sunday.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The women’s golf team finished competing at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional. Richmond finished in 11th place with a team score of 902 (+62). This finish equaled the program’s best result of any of its previous five NCAA Regional appearances. Hannah Lydic led the team in 37th place individually. She had a score of 221 (+11).

Welcome to Richmond! The women’s basketball team hired Sam Brenner as an assistant coach/chief of staff.

Brenner was previously the chief of staff for the women’s basketball program at ___ from 2023-26.

🔼 Huge Honors. The men’s tennis team earned multiple Atlantic 10 honors. Head coach Houston Barrick was named the Coach of the Year. He is the first Richmond coach to earn the honor since 2017. Cole Brashear collected A-10 All-Academic recognition. Brashear and Davis Wiley were named to the A-10 All-Conference First Team. Charlie Burdell and Paxton Pritchard were named to the Second Team.
