Good morning, Spiders. The women’s basketball team closed the regular season with a victory against Saint Joseph’s on the road on Saturday. The Spiders won 72-61 after Maggie Doogan scored 35 points. 🔼 Series Sweep. The baseball team swept Cornell. In the first game, a 9-6 win, the Spiders had four home runs, including two by RJ Johnson Jr. On Saturday, the men had 13 hits in an 11-3 win. Michael Elko and Ryan Recio each had homers. On Sunday, Richmond won 12-2 in eight innings. RJ Rickabaugh launched his first home run of the season. This marks the program’s third-straight weekend series win.

🔼 Big Win. The No. 3 men’s lacrosse team beat defending national champion and fifth-ranked Cornell on Saturday. The Spiders won 8-7 and are 5-0 this season. This is the best start to a season in program history. Gavin Creo scored the go-ahead goal with 64 seconds remaining to secure the win.

🔼 Many Many Goals. The women’s lacrosse team cruised past Liberty on Saturday in a 16-6 win. Alexis Morton and Abby Francioli reached career milestones in the game. Morton recorded her 100th career goal, while teammate Francioli reached 300 career saves. Francioli recorded five saves in goal.

🔼 Rule the Court. The men’s tennis team swept LIU 7-0 on Friday. Richmond won the doubles point and six singles matches. The men added another win on Saturday against Navy. The Spiders won 6-1. Again, the team won the doubles point. Richmond secured five singles victories to take the win.

🔼 Round One. The women’s golf team is in eighth place at the More Than Golf Invitational after round one. Katie Magner leads the Spiders with a score of 3-over par. She is in 20th place individually. The team will start round two this morning at 11:20am.

Just Behind. The men’s basketball team fell to Loyola Chicago on Saturday 69-66.

🕷️ ONE BIG THING

Champ Recap. The track and field team competed in the A-10 Championships this past weekend. On day one, the distance mixed relay team captured gold. Molly Wise earned silver in the long jump. On day two, the Spiders tied for fifth overall. Hallie Muniz and Caroline Donohoe each earned silver medals. The 4×800 relay team took home bronze.
