🔼 Victory! The women’s basketball team beat Rhode Island 72-46 on Wednesday. The Spiders scored 27 points in the first quarter and 22 points in the third quarter. They held Rhode Island to only nine points in the first and six points in the fourth. Alicia Newell scored a career-high 20 points. Five Spiders finished in double figures. Richmond handed Rhode Island just its second conference loss of the season.

National Honor. One of the men’s lacrosse players was named to this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week. He is one of 10 players to be honored.

Rookie Moves. The Atlantic 10 named Sydney Phillips the Rookie of the Week. Phillips won the triple jump at the ASICS Last Chance Invite with a mark of 11.62 meters, which ranks 11th in the conference. This is the first time she has earned the honor.
