🔼 Football. The Spiders put on a show at home with a 38-6 win over Delaware State for the team's first win of the season. Richmond had a total of 398 offensive yards with two interceptions. Wayne Galloway’s interception in the fourth led to an 81-yard touchdown, and Jabril Hayes’ interception happened at the end of the third quarter. The Spiders had three touchdowns in the second quarter, with Milan Howard and Savon Smith rushing and Jerry Garcia Jr. catching a 56-yard pass. Another passing touchdown happened in the fourth, with Wickersham connecting to Nick DeGennaro. 🏈 Read more about the game here.

🔼 Big Three. Field hockey is starting a winning streak after two W’s this past weekend against Davidson and Queens University of Charlotte. It was a close game against Davidson, with the final game-winning goal being scored in overtime by Alexa Derr. The Spiders won 3-2, with the remaining goals scored by Alexandria Lavelle and Charly Faherty. The team shut out Queens 4-0 with 34 shots and 15 shots on goal. Finding the back of the net were Stevie Drum, Lavelle, Lainey Nichols, and Avery Russell.

🔼 Top Five. The women’s golf team finished fifth at the Nittany Lion Invitational with an exceptional performance by Hannah Lydic. The Spiders had a total score of 895 (+31), and Lydic finished second on the player leaderboard with a total of 212 (-4). Her score is the second-best tournament score in Richmond program history. ⛳️ See what scores the rest of the team got here.

New Titles. With the NCAA deciding to allow two additional coaches in men’s and women’s basketball, Mark McGonigal and Jack Fahed have been promoted to Assistant Coach. McGonigal has been on staff since 2016, and Fahed joined the Spiders in 2022. The two will perform the same on - and off-court tasks as the rest of the coaching staff, except for off-campus recruiting. 🏀 Read more about the promotions here.
