Good morning, Spiders. The Athletic Department wants to thank everyone for their generous donations during the seventh annual #URHere Giving Day. A record $1.28 million was raised to support Spider student-athletes.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Champ Run. The women’s tennis team finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championship for the second straight season. The team beat No. 6 Duquesne 4-0 in the quarterfinals. Next, they beat No. 2 Massachusetts 4-0 in the semifinals. In the finals, the team dropped a 4-1 decision to VCU.

🔼 Ranked Win. The men’s lacrosse team beat No. 17 Saint Joseph’s 10-7. With the win, the Spider earned the outright Atlantic 10 regular season title for the first time. They have now tallied four wins over ranked programs, the most by Richmond in a single season. 🥍 Here’s more about the victory.

🕷️ ONE BIG THING

Two Meets. The track and field team competed at the Penn Relays. The 4×400 meter relay team finished third with a time of 3:42.89. Henry Haase finished 60th in the 5,000 meter. Four Spiders competed at the Virginia High Performance Meet on Sunday. Molly Wise won the long jump with a mark of 6.26m.
